HnP on NPR pt. 1

23 05 2007

Last month in New York (April 14th to be exact) we got to be on National Public Radio—radio by the people, for the people (except the nimrods). The host, Faith Salie and I have been friends for a long time so that made the experience less nerve wracking than had we not known her, as we’re these two clowns (an almost accurate description) marching into NPR to do our “musical comedy skits.” Ultimately, the show was a blast and we felt 18% artier than we had prior to the engagement—almost like real musicians…

I’ve broken up the show into two parts, totaling around ten minutes. I’ll post the other one tomorrow. First is a delightfully reverb-y performance of “American Dinosaurs.”
